At deeper levels, Reverse Speech can reveal thought patterns that are unconscious, including reasons behind behaviour and disease. It can reveal hidden motive and agenda and other conscious thought processes. If pertinent facts are left out of forward speech these may also be spoken in reverse. If a lie is spoken forwards, the truth may be communicated in reverse. On the surface level, it can act as a sort of Truth Detector as Reverse Speech will usually correct the inconsistencies of forward speech. The applications of this discovery are exciting. One forwards, which is the conscious mind speaking, and the other in reverse, which is the unconscious mind speaking. As the human brain constructs the sounds of speech, it forms those sounds in such a way that two messages are delivered simultaneously. He states that language is bi-level, forward and reverse. The pioneer and 32 year veteran of this field, Australian David John Oates, describes Reverse Speech as another form of human communication. ![]() It appears constantly throughout language, so much so in fact, that it is believed to be a natural part of our speech processes. These statements usually appear in short sentence form and are nearly always related to the forward speech. If human speech is recorded and played backwards, mixed amongst the gibberish at regular intervals can be heard very clear statements. Since that time, research has progressed significantly and it is now known to exist in all forms of human speech. It initially gained worldwide fame in the early 80s as those strange backward messages in rock and roll. It is called Reverse Speech, the phenomenon of hidden backward messages in speech. It has been featured in numerous publications around the world, and in the United States it became a household name in the late 90s. The research into this phenomenon has been described as being of “Nobel calibre”. It’s worth every penny. It has been called the discovery of the 7th sense. Still, if you want a great recording app for your Watch, I highly recommend Just Press Record. It’s not terrible, but I just don’t think it’s the future of apps on the Watch. For now, you have to launch the app the old fashion way by pressing the crown and tapping a tiny little icon on the app screen. Currently, the app does not have a Glance or a Complication to make things even quicker. Not having to worry about exporting files is certainly a big plus. The app also uses iCloud Drive for storage between your iOS devices, meaning when you record a file, you’ll be able to access it on your iPad or iPhone (remember the app is Universal). Because it runs natively on the Watch, you can listen to your recording right on your wrist too. Your recordings are saved with the date as the file name in. You simply tap to record, then tap again to stop. ![]() Jut Press Record for watchOS 2 is pretty much a super minimalistic recording app that consists of a big red record button in the middle of the display. Well, Just Press Record aims to solve that with its $2.99 Universal app. ![]() After all, it certainly makes a lot of sense to be able to quickly record right from your wrist. Given that the Apple Watch has a built-in mic and speaker, you’d think that Apple would have an native voice recording app for its Watch.
